High Performance

FrogFS, the oss object storage software specially designed for Filecoin, has higher performance. It will not affect the ease of use and efficiency of more business functions, and it is easier to implement native OSS services with elastic scaling capabilities. Excellent for secondary storage, disaster recovery and archiving. At the same time, FrogFS supports multirange reading of file segments, which can better serve Filecoin's Proof-of-Spacetime (PoSt).

Erasure Coding

FrogFS protects data using an embedded erasure code for each object, written in assembly code for optimal performance. FrogFS uses Reed-Solomon code, although objects can be configured with any desired level of redundancy. This means that even if less than a quarter of the drives (whether parity or data) are lost, data can still be reliably reconstructed from the remaining drives at up to 87% yield.

Bitrot protection

Bitrot can cause data to corrupt without the user's knowledge for many reasons, such as drive aging, current spikes, disk firmware errors, spurious writes, read/write direction errors, driver errors, accidental overwrites, but the result is the same -- data leakage.

Compatible with AWS S3

FrogFS makes your existing storage infrastructure compatible with AWS S3 in a far-reaching way. The standardized interface helps Lotus applications to be quickly ported and copied, and is compatible with the mature S3 management tools of the community.
